Hospital Support
The Good Shepherd Mission Hospital is the only modern hospital in an area of several million people. All services are FREE. The primary medical services supported by the foundation and your donations include: Obstetrics and Prenatal Care, Gynecological exams and surgeries, Cataract Surgeries, Dental exams and extractions, and a Pharmacy dispensing medicine.

HIV/AIDS/TB Cottages
The Good Shepherd Mission HIV/AIDS/TB facility serves as a refuge for those suffering from these diseases and their families. Outcast from their villages, these residents receive housing, food, support, love, and acceptance at the GSM compound. The Foundation also supplies transportation to the government hospitals that distribute very limited drugs to help combat these epidemics.

Medical Camps
Medical camps are conducted frequently in the surrounding villages. These camps supply necessary vaccines for thousands of individuals who live around GSM Puttur, India.

Elderly Care
Food, clothing and refuge is provided for the elderly to insure a humane approach to care for those who have sacrificed for the future of the villages.

Boys Hostel
The original facet of Good Shepherd Mission (see Our History), was caring for boys who were orphaned or abandoned by their families. The GSM boys hostel provides quality care, food, clothing and education. At times the children are able to return home but many stay at the mission if/when necessary.

Girls Hostel
Similar to the boys hostel, the girl’s hostel feeds, safely houses and educates young ladies in an effort to make them more independent and self-sufficient.

Education
Educational costs are supplemented by sponsoring young adults who have reached the age to pursue higher education in the field of medical assistances or nurses. Often these students return to the GSM Hospital to use their skills to “pay forward” their blessings.

Transportation
The cost of transportation for the mission is significant and often a barrier. There are multiple vehicles that require maintenance and petrol. A panel van, known as the Charlie Van, allows for transportation for many medical patients. In 2012, the Foundation purchased a 3 wheel vehicle to give GSM a more economical way to transport patients.
